Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew growing up in Mexico in a family who was devoted to music. Her childhood was spent listening to classical and old boleros, as well as the traditional songs of romantics and ranchero. Ana is an avid fan of tangos. She also loves operas, and every form of dramatic performance. Ana began learning to play the piano and sing in the early years together with her mom. She was given more formal vocal training when she reached the age of 16 old under the famous Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. Her musical education continued at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterward to the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. When she was a student, as well when she was a professional young in Mexico City and Guadalajara she sang with several chamber groups and choruses. When she moved into America, United States, she performed as a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. After 2002, she made her way to Southern California. She's a frequent solo performer at events, private parties and other occasions singing classical Latin American Music. The passion and love she has for art, music, and performing keeps her involved in many local projects as a teacher and performer. Ana is also a previous participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana hopes, by sharing her knowledge of Latin American traditional songs, to bring about a desire, specifically among the younger generation to keep this tradition alive.
