MANUEL-TURIZO
Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The Latin pop mainstream is influenced by his international impact. In 2017 the song he released in 2016 Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. His debut album was a long-player ADN for the Medellin-based Sony-distributed La Industria Inc. The album peaked at the rank of eight places on the Top Latin Albums charts. In the following year, he joined Ozuna for the Top Five smash Vaina Loca. He also collaborated together with Noriel on Mala Influencia in the year 2020. He next year, released his sophomore album which was the charting Dopamina. Later in 2021 he was featured as a duo with TINI on her streaming hit song Maldita Foto. In 2023, the year 2000, the hit song La Bachata was released. Turizo was born into the musical home of his family. Both his younger brother and his mother are both musicians. Interviews with him have described playing music as an obligation. Growing up, he instructed to perform on the piano, saxophone as well as guitar. His initial choice of career was to become a vet however, his brother Julian persuaded him to learn to sing by working with the help of a Cuban instructor. The end result, learning that he possessed an aptitude for singing, changed the direction of his life.
