Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is a popular Indian actress best recognized for her roles in the films Beta Saajan, and Hum Aapke Hain Koun and Beta Saajan. The actress began her career as a performer in the late 1980s. Her fame was boosted by the film Tezaab starring an established actor Anil Kooor. Then she appeared in the movie Dil where she was on screen alongside Aamir Khan. She was born into a Mumbai middle-class family, and began dancing in her early years. She ventured into acting as a youngster and struggled through a couple of years since most of her initial films failed. Her breakthrough came when she finally had success and then became one of the top actors in the Indian film industry. Following her wedding, she took some time away from performing prior to returning. She played a major role as a lead actress in Gulaab Gang, a film focused on women's struggles in India. Dixit was awarded fifteen Filmfare Awards nominations, of which, eight were awarded. Padma Shri is the fourth highest civilian honor in India. Her fame is based on her social works as well.
